Holly is a master of her craft. When you are in the presence of a true professional like her, you just feel it. There is a reason why she is who she is and that was apparent from Day 1. Pleasure was truly mine learning and practicing with her.

Firman, Justin and the rest of the Blue Marlin team are equally as responsible for my success as they were always there for me when I needed them. Always willing to give a helping hand while sharing great attitudes all the time.

Beyond the education and the crew of the Blue Marlin, Gili T is a very special place to experience. Just for the island itself and its people, I would visit again and stay for a while. It is as much tranquil as it is robust with life. Whoever you are, I am certain you will make positive experiences that appeals to your way of life.

It is beach front which allows... read more a great area to hang out, study and to get in the water for a dive. The course itself is set up to allow you all the time to learn the material, practice and have the help you need. Holly is always around to help out with any questions you may have. The course may be a bit longer than some other IDC, but nothing feels rushed. The days are scheduled so that you have a lesson and then enough time to get work done afterwards. It is also a perfect excuse to hang out on Gili T for longer. If you are considering- don't hesitate!

There's no guarantee you will find the right instructor for you, but doing my... read more IDC with Holly Macleod was the right choice. From the first meeting I knew I had made the right decision. She is friendly and personable, professional, and passionate about diving. She is an intuitive instructor in the classroom and in the water. She is able to break down complex dive theory into an easily digestible lesson that makes learning fun! She holds her students to a high standard and does not accept any less so when it comes time for the instructor exam, I felt more than adequately prepared. Her program is nearly a week longer than other IDC's offered, which gives her more time to delve deeper into the subject matter and give her students a theoretical and practical understanding of course material that may not come with a quicker program. She is tough but fair, and will put the extra time in to ensure her students have all the tools and skills necessary, not to just meet performance requirements, but to exceed them as well. I truly feel that doing my IDC with Holly has built a strong foundation that I can build on throughout my diving career. She emphasises continuing education and offers the resources for upward expansion, both in recreational and technical diving, all while managing a very busy dive center.
